My Leicester house still has its original mid-century plumbing. Does all of it need to go?
Rarely all at once. Supply pipe of that age fails in a pattern, and the worst runs are usually the hidden horizontal ones rather than the shiny bits under the sink. We would rather show you which sections are actually corroding and replace those than sell a whole-house repipe you do not need yet.
Why is the water pressure so weak upstairs in my Cherry Valley house?
In a house of that era it is usually supply pipe that has narrowed from the inside, a valve that is failing part-way open, or a pressure regulator at the end of its life. Upstairs shows it first because it is fighting gravity. Which of the three it is changes the repair completely, so it is worth diagnosing rather than guessing.
I am on a well out past Rochdale. Is that something you handle?
It is. The pressure tank, the switch, the lines running off them and the fixtures they feed are all our side of the work. A well system that short-cycles or loses pressure is a normal service call here, not a specialty we refer somewhere else.
Our boiler is as old as the house but still runs. Replace it or leave it alone?
Leave it alone, if it is running safely and doing its job — age by itself is not a reason to spend money. What changes the answer is repeat failures, a cracked section, or anything unsafe. We will tell you plainly which of those you have instead of treating every old boiler as a sale.
